Correct faded or uneven Canon colour prints

Use the exact Full Adjust procedure for your colour multifunction printer.

1 min read

Use this when color shades or density look wrong. Check for low toner first; calibration cannot replace an exhausted cartridge.

Run Full Adjust

  1. Finish any printing or scanning. From the Home screen select Menu → Adjustment/Maintenance → Adjust Image Quality → Auto Adjust Gradation → Full Adjust.
  2. Load the paper size and type requested on screen. Select OK, then Start to print the first adjustment sheet.
  3. Put the sheet face down on the scanner glass with its black stripe towards the back. Close the feeder or cover and select Start Scanning.
  4. Replace the first sheet with the second printed adjustment sheet, in the same orientation. Close the cover and select Start Scanning again.
  5. Wait for completion, then remove the sheet. For a simpler adjustment, select Quick Adjust → Start in the same menu.
