This guide covers the listed monochrome MFC touchscreen models. It resets replacement toner; holding the toner icon for a Drum option is a separate drum procedure.
Reset after fitting the new toner
1Leave the printer on with the new toner installed and open the front cover.
2Hold the Back/Return and Cancel controls together for one to two seconds. Release them, then immediately press Back/Return again.
3In the toner menu, select STD for a standard replacement or HC for a high-yield replacement.
4Confirm with Yes. After Accepted appears, close the front cover.
