This touchscreen guide covers HL-L3270CDW, MFC-L3710CW, MFC-L3750CDW and MFC-L3770CDW. Each colour has its own drum counter.
Replace the indicated colour drum
- Keep the printer on. Lift the top cover until it stays open and let hot internal parts cool before handling the assembly.
- Remove the toner and drum assembly for the colour you are replacing. Rest it on disposable paper.
- Release the toner with the green lever. Unwrap the new drum, remove its protective cover and lock the same toner into it.
- Slide the green cleaning tabs back and forth, then return every tab to its home arrow. Refit each assembly in the matching colour-labelled slot and close the top cover.
Confirm the new drum on the touchscreen
- Keep the machine switched on after closing its top cover.
- Hold the Toner icon on the touchscreen for about five seconds.
- Tap Drum, choose the colour of the drum just replaced, then tap Yes.
- If you fitted more than one new colour drum, repeat for those colours only.
