Brother MFC-J430W: missing colours and alignment
Use the button-panel Test Print menu; its prompts differ from newer touchscreen models.
1 min readCheck the four colour blocks
- Press Menu. Select Ink or Ink Management → OK → Test Print → OK → Print Quality → OK, then Colour Start.
- When asked whether the quality is OK, answer Yes if every short line is present. For missing lines, answer No.
- Answer Yes or No for each colour according to its block. Accept the offered cleaning, then press Colour Start to recheck. Finish with Stop/Exit.
For displaced vertical lines with complete colour blocks, use Menu → Ink/Ink Management → Test Print → Alignment, pressing OK at each selection. Print with Mono or Colour Start, then enter the least-striped pattern number (1–9) for A, B, C and D. Finish with Stop/Exit.
Send an MFC-J430W quality sheet
