Brother DCP-L2550DW/MFC-L2710DW: two-line LCD toner reset

Use Clear and Stop/Exit, then the up arrow to confirm the selected toner capacity.

The listed models use physical Clear and Stop/Exit keys with a two-line LCD. Do not use the Back+Go sequence from the single-line HL printer.

Reset after fitting the new toner

  1. With the printer on and the new toner fitted, open the front cover.
  2. Hold Clear and Stop/Exit together for one to two seconds. Release both and immediately press Clear again.
  3. Use the arrows to choose the installed toner capacity: the STD entry for standard toner or HC entry for high-yield toner. Press OK.
  4. At Reset/Exit, press the up arrow. When Accepted appears, close the front cover.
