Brother HL-L2340DW: reset a new high-yield toner

Use the Go-nine/Go-five sequence only after fitting the listed new high-yield toner.

This supplier-documented procedure is for the HL-L2340DW with a new high-yield toner. Its User Mode sequence differs from the newer HL-L2350DW toner menu and from the older HL-2270DW status-light reset.

Reset after fitting the new toner

  1. Fit the new high-yield toner, leave its assembly installed and open the front cover. Turn the printer off.
  2. Hold Go while switching the printer on. Release Go after about three seconds, when User Mode appears on the LCD.
  3. Press Go nine times. The Wi-Fi light should flash once.
  4. Press Go five times to select the high-yield toner reset.
  5. Close the front cover and wait for Ready. Print a test page; if the warning remains, contact Ink Hero rather than repeating different button counts.
