My printer does not recognize the new cartridge
Use the exact error message to separate an installation problem from an incompatible supply.

- Take a photo of the complete message, including any error code and the color or cartridge it names.
- Compare the full printer model and cartridge number with your order. Check the region if the printer was bought abroad.
- Look for shipping protection that the cartridge instructions say to remove. Do not remove the chip or unrelated seals.
- Use the printer’s replacement procedure to reseat only the affected supply. Check that its latch closes or the cartridge clicks into place.
