Store spare toner and drums safely
Keep unused laser supplies sealed and protect exposed drums from light.
1 min read- Keep unopened toner in its original packaging in a stable, dry place away from heat and direct sunlight. Follow any storage limits on the box.
- Leave a new drum or imaging unit in its light-protective packaging until you are ready to install it. Do not touch its imaging surface.
- If an assembly must be removed briefly, place it level on disposable paper and protect it from bright light. Keep toner contained and avoid knocking it against the printer.
- Storage does not guarantee a fixed shelf life. Damaged packaging, damp storage and contamination can affect performance; check the condition before installation.
