Canon PIXMA TS6150: error 5100

Check for an obstruction and a tank that has not clicked into place.

Code 5100 is a printer error that can occur when the print-head holder’s movement is obstructed. It is different from an ink-level warning.

Check the holder area

Cancel the print job and turn the printer off.
Look for visible jammed paper or transport tape blocking the holder. Remove an accessible obstruction carefully.
Check that every ink tank is seated. Press a raised tank down until it clicks into place.
Close the cover and turn the printer back on. If the error remains, Canon advises service.
