Brother Replace Belt: replace the right assembly
A belt warning needs the belt specified for the printer, not a toner or drum reset.
1 min readThe transfer belt sits beneath the drum assembly on these business colour printers. Check the model’s supply list; a similarly shaped belt for another generation is not a substitute.
Protect the belt during replacement
- Follow the linked replacement sheet to release and remove the drum assembly using its green handles and lock lever.
- Lift the old belt with both hands using its green handle. Keep fingers off the belt’s image-carrying surface.
- Fit the new belt level and firmly seated, then reinstall and lock the drum assembly and close the cover.
