HL-5340D family: new TN3280 toner warning remains
Check the new toner and retained drum before trying an unverified button count.
1 min readThe toner and drum are separate supplies on this family. After fitting a new high-yield toner, check the installation before treating the warning as a counter problem.
Check the fitted supply
- Open the front cover using the model’s manual and remove the combined toner-and-drum assembly onto disposable paper. Let hot parts cool.
- Release the toner with the drum’s lock lever. Check its exact regional code and remove only the protection identified in the supplied cartridge guide.
- Lock the new toner fully into the retained drum. Slide the corona-cleaning tab back and forth and return it to its marked home position. Refit the assembly and close the cover.
- If the Toner warning remains, send us the cartridge label and exact panel-light pattern. Do not reset the drum counter or experiment with other models’ Go-button counts.
