HP ENVY 4520: fit HP 63 or 63XL ink

Use the cartridge latch and complete the printer’s alignment prompt.

Use the HP 63/63XL replacement listed for your local ENVY 4520. A similar-looking cartridge number from another country may not work.

Replace the cartridge

Turn the printer on. Open the cartridge-access door and wait for the carriage to stop.
Raise the latch for the affected cartridge, then remove it.
Unpack the replacement and remove its marked protective tape. Hold its plastic sides and avoid the contacts and nozzles.
Match the slot’s colour and icon, slide the cartridge into position and close the latch until it clicks. Close the access door.
Complete the alignment prompt using plain white paper.
